Genesys opens new R&D center in Budapest

Genesys, one of the world’s leading AI-based global cloud service providers, has opened a new 3,000 square meters R&D center in Budapest. An additional 500 square meters will be leased, increasing the office capacity to 350-400 employees. Hungary is now the company’s second European R&D center after Ireland.

The US-based global company entered the Hungarian market in 2021 and established its Hungarian headquarters after the acquisition of customer service and communications platform Bold360 from Hungarian startup LogMeIn.

The Hungarian development team will play a key role in the development of the company’s AI-based experience management platform (Genesys Cloud CX). Net revenue of Genesys Cloud Services Hungary Kft. increased from HUF 1.4 billion to HUF 3.8 billion (EUR 10.1 million) in 2022, while the profit after tax increased from HUF 91.5 million to HUF 243.6 million (EUR 648 thousand).
