Food delivery service Foodpanda will be operating under the name Foodora from mid-April, announced the operator, Delivery Hero Hungary Kft.
Hungary-based NetPincér announced in September 2021 that it will continue to operate under the name of Foodpanda. NetPincér has been operating since 1999 and became a member of the Delivery Hero group of companies in 2016, which is present in more than 50 countries worldwide.
The Hungarian subsidiary has more than 2 million users, works with around 4,000 courier partners and 5,000 business partners. In addition to ready meals, groceries and cleaning products can also be ordered via the platform since December 2020.
Delivery Hero Hungary Kft. posted revenue of HUF 18 billion (EUR 47.3 million) in 2021 and ended the year with a loss of HUF 741 million (EUR 1.95 million), compared to revenue of HUF 10 billion (EUR 26.3 million) in 2020 and profit after tax of HUF 346 million (EUR 910 thousand).
