Csoki Nyugat Kft., based in Mosonmagyaróvár, has inaugurated a biscuit factory in Ikrény. The investment volume amounted to approximately HUF 2 billion (EUR 5 million). The 1,200 square meters facility includes both a wholesale warehouse and a fully automated biscuit production line.
Csoki Nyugat Kft. received HUF 550 million (EUR 1.4 million) in support for the construction of the site, which was built on a greenfield plot.
The firm distributes more than 14,000 products and employs 30 people. In 2024, it generated revenue of HUF 5.24 billion (EUR 13.2 million), with HUF 876 million (EUR 2.2 million) coming from exports. Net profit amounted to HUF 81 million (EUR 205,000) last year.
Over the past ten years, the government has supported investments in the food industry with HUF 800 billion (EUR 2 billion). Between 2010 and 2024, the sector’s production value increased by more than 38%. Last year alone, production volume in the industry grew by 3.9% and revenue by 4.8%, making the food industry one of Hungary’s strongest-performing sectors.
