Ceva-Phylaxia Zrt. laid the foundation stone for a new vaccine factory in Monor. The investment volume amounts to EUR 75 million. Production of fermentation-based multi-component inactivated vaccines for animals to prevent infectious diseases is scheduled to start at the end of 2026. The factory is expected to produce more than 8 billion vaccine doses annually.
Thanks to the cooperation with the state investment agency HIPA, the new investment of the government’s strategic partner can be realized with a state subsidy of HUF 8.3 billion (EUR 20 million).
Ceva-Phylaxia already employs 1,300 people in this country and will initially create 60 new jobs with the new development and 120 in the medium term. The company is a subsidiary of the global Ceva Animal Health Group.
Including the Monor site, Ceva will produce a total of more than 80 billion vaccine doses at six production sites in Hungary.
