Balluff Group – a German family-owned company – has opened a new development office in Budapest after Veszprém and Csetény. Ten highly qualified jobs were created here. Balluff’s management decided a year ago to expand the company’s development activities in Hungary. The government already provided a non-refundable subsidy of HUF 518 million (EUR 1.3 million) in 2021.
The Balluff Group, which specializes in automation, was one of the first German investors in Hungary. Its subsidiary Balluff Elektronika Kft. was founded in 1989 and employs around 1,000 people in Hungary. Last year, it generated sales of HUF 42.2 billion (EUR 106 million), after HUF 29.7 billion (EUR 74.6 million) in 2020, and a taxed profit of HUF 1.2 billion (EUR 3 million) after HUF 1.1 billion (EUR 2.7 million) a year earlier.
The Balluff Group’s portfolio includes various sensor, visual and optical identification, security and industrial network products. Its products are used in the automotive, energy, food and pharmaceutical industries. For the Neuhausen headquartered Balluff Group production in Hungary plays a key role as the majority of production activities are currently concentrated here. Balluff employs 3,500 people worldwide.
