The Balaton Park Circuit racetrack in Balatonfőkajár was handed over a few days ago. All kinds of motor sport events can be held here, apart from Formula 1 and the World Championship of Speedway Racing, informed the Balaton Park Group.
The 4.1 km long, 16-turn asphalt track with the associated service facilities is located just a few kilometres from the M7 motorway and only 85 km from Budapest. Originally, the circuit was to be handed over as early as 2014. It was built with an investment of more than EUR 200 million, includes a four-star hotel and a museum as well as a grandstand with 10,000 seats, which can be expanded to 120,000.
