The Cupra Terramar was officially presented in Barcelona these days. The new model will be built in Győr in the future, with a capacity of approx. 300 units per day.
The new model will be manufactured in Győr on the same platform as the successful Audi Q3 model.
Around 3,500 Audi Hungaria employees are involved in the production of the two SUV models. As capacity is almost fully utilized with these two models, there are currently no plans for the production of further models in Győr.
The integration of the Terramar has been in preparation for more than two years. After the pre-series production of several hundred units, the transition to series production will soon follow. The official market launch is scheduled for the fourth quarter with 3,700 Cupra Terramar units.
Vehicle production in Győr, with a daily capacity of 770 units, will be utilized approximately 60% by the Audi Q3 and 40% by the Cupra Terramar. The latter will be offered with petrol, mild hybrid (each with engines from Győr) and plug-in hybrid drive systems.
