Rohlik Group – Growth capital from the EBRD

International online food delivery service Rohlik, owner of the domestic brand Kifli.hu, receives EUR 160 million in growth capital from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), existing investors Sofina, Index Ventures, Quadrille and TCF Capital as well as the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The capital will be used to finance expansion plans in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) as well as in the Central and Eastern European region, where the company plans to be present in more than 10 additional cities by 2030.

The Rohlik Group was founded in 2014 in the Czech Republic for online grocery retail and currently operates in the Czech Republic (Rohlik.cz), Hungary (Kifli.hu), Austria (Gurkerl.at), Germany (Knuspr.de) and Romania (Sezamo.ro).

The company is aiming for revenue of more than EUR 1 billion with a positive cash flow in the 2024 financial year. It currently delivers more than one million orders per month. In 2023, it had more than 800,000 customers.

Kifli.hu alone has served more than 200,000 customers in recent years and delivered more than 10,000 orders on record days. Kifli.hu has been profitable since 2023.
