Kun-Malom Grain Kft – a company of the Szatmári Group – laid the foundation stone for a milling plant in Karcag. The company is investing around HUF 1.5 billion (approx. EUR 3.8 million) in the new mill. The development includes the construction of a grain hulling and grinding plant with an area of 1,672 square meters and a new 1,000 square meters grain storage facility.
In addition, 24 old reinforced concrete silos will be modernized and a solar plant installed. The plant will have a capacity of 48 tons per day. The investment will create at least 15 new jobs. In a further project, Hungary’s first bulgur production plant is to be built. The project should be completed by the end of 2025.
