The Mol Group inaugurated the new polyol complex in Tizsaújváros, which will produce around 200,000 tons of polyol annually. Thanks to the close cooperation between Mol and thyssenkrupp, it was possible to build the polyol complex, the largest organic investment of the Mol Group. With the investment, Mol Petrolkémia aims to become the leading chemical company in the region.
The government subsidized the EUR 1.3 billion development with EUR 131 million. 300 highly qualified jobs were created here.
Mol, thyssenkrupp and Evonik IP signed the license agreement back in summer 2017. The foundation stone for the complex was laid in September 2019.
