AutoWallis enters the Czech retail market

The AutoWallis Group will take over the Czech Stratos Auto’s BMW business unit. Accordingly, AutoWallis will be present in three Czech cities – Prague, Hradec Králové and Pardubice – and acquiring close to 10% of the BMW market in the Czech Republic. NC Auto (Stratos Auto) sold almost 740 BMW vehicles in 2023.

In the first step of the transaction, AutoWallis will acquire 80 percent of NC Auto s.r.o. and increase its share to 100 percent within two years.

The agreement includes both the BMW retail business and the related service business. The closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the Czech competition authority.

The company has set itself the goal of becoming the leading automotive and mobility provider in Central and Eastern Europe by the end of the decade.

The AutoWallis Group is present in 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe (Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Poland, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Hungary) in the wholesale and retail of motor vehicles and spare parts, in servicing and in the short-term and long-term rental of vehicles.

The turnover of the AutoWallis Group increased by 36 percent to HUF 366 billion (EUR 921.9 million) in 2023, while EBITDA rose by the same amount to HUF 19.7 billion (EUR 49.6 million). Net profit increased by 14 percent to HUF 9.8 billion (EUR 24.6 million).
