Mol, Volánbusz, MÁV and Waberer’s have signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the development of hydrogen mobility at the international conference “Hydrogen Open 2024” of the Hungarian Hydrogen Technology Association.
The key players in the Hungarian transport and energy sector will jointly explore the production, logistics and use of green, renewable hydrogen in transportation.
As part of the HUMDA Magyar Mobilitás-fejlesztési Ügynökség Zrt. pilot project, hydrogen fuel cell buses will be put into operation in Debrecen, Győr, Kecskemét, Kaposvár, Miskolc and Zalaegerszeg in addition to the capital.
First hydrogen filling station
The first hydrogen filling station in Hungary, operated by Linde Gáz Magyarország Zrt., has opened in Budapest on Illatos út, where 4,000 kilograms of hydrogen can be filled up after prior registration.
