Companies can apply for state subsidies for the purchase of electric cars, electric vans or electric minibuses. A total of HUF 30 billion (almost EUR 80 million) is available in the tender issued by the Ministry of Energy.
The tender starts on February 5. Applications can be submitted for 13 months. Depending on the number of employees, companies can purchase up to 16 electric vehicles with state subsidies. The premium amounts to HUF 2.8-4 million (EUR 7-10 thousand) per vehicle, and a maximum of HUF 64 million (EUR 170.6 thousand) in state subsidies can be applied for the purchase of a fleet. Two-thirds of the total amount of the tender is earmarked for companies located in rural areas. The program is financed by the Reconstruction Fund.
Since transport is responsible for up to a quarter of pollutant emissions, and in order to achieve sustainable changes, electric mobility is being promoted.
