WLP will build an environmentally friendly and intelligent 40,000 square meters warehouse for Magna International Inc. in Vecsés by 2024. The state is supporting the HUF 19 billion (EUR 50.3 million) investment with HUF 3.8 billion (EUR 10 million). The project will create 300 new jobs.
Weerts Logistics Park (WLP), a Belgian-Hungarian company known throughout Europe for building state-of-the-art warehouses, and RaktárAD started their third investment in Hungary in Vecsés.
The Canadian company Magna International, one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers, has so far occupied the largest area in the environmentally conscious logistics park in Vecsés. Its customers include BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Daimler, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, Toyota, VW, Volvo, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi. Magna is present in nearly 30 countries around the world.
Over the past eight years, WLP and RaktárAD, together with Weerts Group Immobilien, have built a total of 202,000 square meters in the country. WLP already has more than 1 million square meters of high-tech logistics investments in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy.
