The Japanese Seiren Group has inaugurated its first European production plant in Pécs. The HUF 15 billion (EUR 40.5 million) investment was supported by the state with HUF 4.5 billion (EUR 12.1 million). In the first phase, 170 new jobs will be created here informed Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
The plant will supply the European automotive market with almost 2.5 million meters of synthetic leather car seat covers per year, which are produced in an environmentally friendly way and have four times the wear resistance of previous products.
