According to the MEKH Energy Office, by the end of 2022, 2,150 charging stations for electric cars were already available to users nationwide.
This is an increase of 14% compared to the previous year. The most e-charging stations are in Budapest (730) and Pest County (290). The number of e-charging stations increased in all counties last year, but to the greatest extent in Baranya (+55%), Tolna (+53%) and Pest (+25%) counties.
The amount of energy consumed for charging has also more than doubled. While in QIV 2021 the amount of energy consumed for charging, including DC and AC charging, was 3,770 MWh, by the end of 2022 it was already 8,150 MWh.
