Robert Bosch Power Tool – Two major projects in Miskolc

Robert Bosch Power Tool Kft. is investing around EUR 180 million (HUF 70 billion) in two major projects in Miskolc by the end of 2024. A new logistics center is being built here and manufacturing capacities for power tools and battery systems are also being expanded at the site.

Under an individual government decision (EKD), the two projects will receive subsidies of HUF 10.2 billion (EUR 26.9 million).

Highly automated warehouses with a total area of 100,000 square meters are being built on the site of the Miskolc Industrial Park. In addition, the Regional Service Center handed over in 2017 will be integrated here. Bosch sees the Miskolc logistics center as part of its international supply chain network with a total of around 780 locations. The power tools plant in Miskolc was already elevated to the status of a European battery competence center in 2018. The site produces battery systems for power tools as well as for eBikes. New capacities are being created to produce even more innovative rechargeable batteries or cordless power tools for commercial, home and garden applications.

Robert Bosch Power Tool Kft., founded in 2001, is currently one of the largest employers in the region with more than 3,800 employees.
