With an investment of HUF 18 billion (EUR 47.4 million), Waberer’s International is building a logistics center with an area of 47,000 square meters in Ecser. The development on the 135,000 square meters site is managed by Bayer Construct Építőipari Zrt. Construction of the warehouse is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
Waberer’s is financing the investment with EUR 111 million bonds issued last year. The company also received an investment aid from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The new logistics center is strategically located on the M0 highway near Budapest Airport. Waberer’s will also offer specialized services here, including handling dangerous goods and automated services for e-commerce partners. The complex will use several environmentally friendly and energy efficient solutions.
BDPST Group increased shareholding
BDPST Group’s stake in Waberer’s International Nyrt. is further increased through the acquisition of shares. Merkport Zrt. which is 95% owned by the BDPST Group, acquires the 22.88% stake in Waberer’s held by HIGH YIELD Vagyonkezelő Zrt. owned by György Wáberer. This increases the joint share of the BDPST Group and Merkport in the transport and logistics company to 49.64%.
