The Visual Europe Group is building the largest virtual film studio in Central and Eastern Europe at HelloParks in Fót. The EUR 11 million investment is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024. Visual Europe Group’s virtual studio will include hundreds of square meters of LED walls with innovative solutions.
Virtual studio technology is the most advanced and fastest growing segment of global film production. Therefore, the development could bring the world’s largest film productions and streaming services to Hungary.
The investment could further strengthen Hungary’s role in the global film industry. In recent years, Budapest has emerged as the second largest film production hub in Europe after London, and the Hungarian film industry’s revenues reached a record high in 2022, with total registered spending exceeding HUF 250 billion (EUR 647,6 million). There are three small studios with similar technology in Hungary, usually with multi-year waiting lists, and a total of 10 studios in Europe, with the closest being in Poland.
Visual Europe Group Hungary has more than 15 years of experience in design, construction, maintenance and operation of audiovisual technical systems. It is a permanent partner for event technology, e.g. for the Sziget Festival, the women’s handball final, the exhibition organizer Hungexpo, Budapest Park and the Puskás Arena.
