BDPST Group acquires Budapest Gellért Hotel

The BDPST Group acquires the Budapest Gellért Hotel from the Indotek Group.

The hotel’s listed building, which opened more than 100 years ago and closed a year ago, is managed by BDPST Zrt. and converted into a modern five-star hotel. The hotel will have 139-150 guest rooms and suites. In addition to modernization, designers are looking for new features that will help expand the offer and improve the quality of services. The area of the Gellért Baths is not affected by the redevelopment.

The BDPST Group currently has several large hotel projects in the capital. A new hotel called Verno House will soon be opened on Október 6. street, and the five-star Hotel Dorothea is planned to open near Vörösmarty square in 2023. In addition, next year the BOTANIQ Budai Klub will open on the site of the former Fonográf restaurant and club, and the renovation of the Adria Palace next to the former Stock Exchange Palace is also underway.
