For HUF 140 billion (EUR 350 million), additional capacities for pet food production and 250 new jobs will be created at the Purina plant in Bük. Nestlé Hungária Kft. builds new production areas and an ultra-modern, fully automated warehouse in the Purina plant in Bük on more than 35,000 square meters.
The site in western Hungary has always been the pet food center for Central and Eastern Europe for the Swiss Nestlé Group. As part of the investment, capacities will increase by 30% and the export share from 90% to 95%.
The Purina factory in western Hungary already employs 1,400 people. Nestlé has now invested more than EUR 800 million in this country. Nestlé Hungária Kft. employs more than 2,500 people in the three factories in Szerencs, Diósgyőr and Bük as well as in the Hungarian company headquarters in Budapest.
