The French company Schneider Electric is building a smart factory in Dunavecse with an investment of EUR 40 million. The smart factory will cover an area of 25,000 square meters. After 2025, around 500 highly qualified jobs will be created here. Medium-voltage products for distribution systems will be manufactured in a climate-neutral manner.
The group of companies has been present in Hungary since reunification and currently employs around 2,000 people at various locations. It has four production plants in Zalaegerszeg, Gyöngyös and Kunszentmiklós and a regional logistics center serving more than 20 countries. The group also operates three service centers in Budapest.
