The government extended price caps on fuel and food until October 1. Loan moratorium and cap on mortgage rates will remain in place until the end of this year.
These regulations were originally limited to the middle of the year. The price cap on petrol and diesel fuel was introduced in mid-November 2021. The price cap on foods such as cooking oil, flour, sugar, chicken and pork meat was set in early February. In mid-March, the government introduced the credit moratorium, which has only applied to socially disadvantaged households since last November. On January 1 of this year, the government also decided to extend a repayment moratorium and a freeze on mortgage rates.
Micro-enterprises continue to benefit from the discounted energy costs of private households, but with an annual consumption limit of 4606 kW for electricity and 1489 m3 for gas. All local governments and public institutions will have to pay market prices in the future.
