Mavir launched long-distance pipeline project

The state transmission system operator Mavir Zrt. will build 20 substations and 7 transmission lines by April 2026 in consortium with Digitális Kormányzati Fejlesztés és Projektmenedzsment Kft.

This is intended to connect more environmentally friendly solar power plants to the domestic power grid. The investment will be implemented from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). Until the government’s reconstruction plan is approved, the project will be pre-financed from the economic stimulus package. It includes 11 substations in Transdanubia and 9 in Central Hungary and the Northern Great Plain. In addition, Mavir will increase the load capacity of seven 220 kV transmission lines.
