Huawei Technologies Hungary has launched a HUF 10 million (EUR 25 thousand) scholarship program at the University of Óbuda. The “Huawei SEEDs” program will fund research projects by university students related to solar energy and 5G industrial applications. The research areas also include virtual reality and augmented reality as well as the industrial application of robotics.
Huawei Technologies Hungary, University of Óbuda and the CECZ Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone signed an agreement on closer cooperation and support for exchanges of knowledge and experience. The agreement aims to develop new solutions that will help industrial companies to bring out the potential of 5G technology for expanding Industry 4.0 solutions in Hungary, especially in the field of logistics. The cooperation also includes promoting the introduction of intelligent logistics solutions and transport systems.
The Chinese-owned Huawei Technologies is represented in Hungary with all its business areas. The largest logistics and production center of the group outside of China is located in Hungary and employs more than 2,000 people.
