Stavmat Zrt. processes TetraPak cardboard packaging into recycled panels as an alternative to plasterboard in Kaposvár.
Three production lines will be installed by January amounted to HUF 3.9 billion (EUR 10.1 million). Trial production of the alternative building material has already started. In order to fully utilize the capacity, the Slovakian company needs 50-70 tons of used TetraPak carton packaging every year.
If there is sufficient demand for the GreenCon technology at home and abroad, Stavmat intends to invest another HUF 7.8 billion (EUR 19.9 million) in the construction of a production hall with ten production lines. If the project is successful, up to 50 new jobs will be created.
