The Kravtex-Kühne group of companies handed over a 4,000-square-meter production hall, expanding the bus factory’s floor space to more than 20,000 square meters. The government is supporting the investment of almost HUF 2 billion (EUR 5.2 million) as part of the investment support program for large companies with HUF 470 million (EUR 1 million). Due to the development, the plant has a capacity of 1,000 buses per year.
The Credobus plant, which belongs to the Kravtex-Kühne Group, has been continuously expanded since 2008. The current investment is already in the third phase. From 2023, the frame structure of the buses will also be manufactured by Kühne and transported to Győr, where the final assembly will take place.
The chassis of the articulated bus Econell 18 Next, which is the lightest 18-meter articulated bus in the world, is manufactured in the new hall. In the future, the group’s zero-emission, battery and hydrogen-powered electric buses will be built here.
Kravtex-Kühne, with over 550 employees, builds buses in Mosonmagyaróvár and Győr. With the Kühne Mezőgazdasági Gépgyár Zrt. the group is also active in the agricultural machinery and passenger transport markets with Panoráma Tourist Kft. in Szolnok.
