Audi Hungaria – CUPRA model from Győr

Audi Hungaria starts the production of the new CUPRA SUV model. The first CUPRA “Made in Győr” will roll off the production line in 2024.

The CUPRA model will be integrated into the existing manufacturing structure utilizing product and technology synergies. Most of the changes will take place in the body shop. The new CUPRA SUV model will be produced in Győr with different engines, including mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology. The PHEV variant embodies the next generation of plug-in hybrid technology with an all-electric range of around 100 km.

Audi Hungaria currently manufactures the Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback models as well as their mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. The Audi TT Coupé and TT Roadster models are also produced in Győr. Audi Hungaria Zrt. posted revenues of EUR7.717 billion (HUF 2,866.48 billion) last year, up 2.6% from 2020. It was able to increase its profit by 33% to EUR 332 million (HUF 12.332 billion). Audi Hungaria produced 1.62 million engines (almost 100,000 of them electric engines) and 171,000 cars last year. That was around 41,000 fewer engines than in 2020, but almost 16,000 more cars.
