The Italian-controlled Kometa 99 Zrt. is investing HUF 45 billion (EUR 120 million) in Kaposvár and creating 400 new jobs. The state is supporting the development with HUF 15 billion (EUR 40 million).
As a result of this major investment, processing capacities at the site will reach up to 1.25 million pigs per year. Nearly half of Kometa’s products are exported.
