Festipay was used at more than one hundred festivals last year.
By the end of August, Festipay had processed transactions in Hungary with a total value of HUF 29 billion (approx. EUR 75 million), and a further HUF 10 billion (EUR 25.9 million) across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Following a successful test phase at the Hungaroring, the cooperation was recently extended by three years. At the Sziget Festival, the company participated for the 11th time and operated more than 1,000 terminals, handling transaction volumes in the millions.
Festipay Zrt. is a leading provider of digital payment and integrated event services in Central and Eastern Europe. Its solutions are primarily used at large festivals and events to enable visitors to make fast and secure cashless payments using rechargeable NFC wristbands or cards. The offering also includes ticketing, access control, app integration, and management tools for event organizers.
The company is present in 13 countries and achieved revenues of HUF 1.26 billion (EUR 3.2 million) in 2024, up from HUF 1.22 billion (EUR 3.1 million) the previous year. Net profit rose from around HUF 5 million (EUR 13 thousand) to nearly HUF 140 million (EUR 363 thousand euros).
