The acquisition of majority stakes in Netfone Telecom Kft. and Gestamen Zrt. has been finalized following the fulfilment of all legal and financial conditions. Both companies are now owned by subsidiaries of the 4iG Group.
4iG Telecommunications Holding Plc. acquired a 99% stake in national virtual mobile network operator Netfone. The transaction expands 4iG’s telecommunications portfolio with a customer-focused and efficient service provider. Netfone Telecom primarily serves residential customers and small businesses, supported by a network of 200 resellers and 400 distribution partners. The company will continue to operate independently, while 4iG Group will provide network infrastructure, technological support, and financial stability through the wholesale services of One Hungary.
Meanwhile, 4iG Space and Defence Technologies (4iG S&D) acquired 90% of Gestamen, marking 4iG’s entry into the small arms development market. Gestamen’s product portfolio includes seven categories of weapons, all developed entirely in Hungary and compliant with NATO standards, ranging from pistols and submachine guns to assault rifles, high-powered grenade launchers, and squad-support machine guns. The company’s operations cover the entire small arms development process, from design and component manufacturing to prototyping and field testing.
