Bonafarm – Acquisition of Friesland Romania

The Bonafarm Group has signed an agreement to acquire Friesland Romania S.A., the Romanian subsidiary of Dutch dairy group Royal FrieslandCampina. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Friesland Romania S.A. is one of the most well-known and established companies in the Romanian market. With its Napolact brand, the company is a market leader in several segments. Headquartered in Bucharest, Friesland Romania employs over 400 people and operates two modern production facilities in Cluj-Napoca and Târgu Mureș.

Following the completion of the transaction, Bonafarm plans to increase production capacity in Romania.

The Bonafarm Group includes five agricultural companies (such as Bóly Zrt., Dalmand Zrt., and Bonafarm-Bábolna Kft.) as well as five food industry companies, including Pick Szeged Zrt., Sole-Mizo Zrt., and Hungerit Zrt. With around 8,000 employees, the group exported to approximately 40 countries and achieved revenues of HUF 580 billion (EUR 1.4 billion) last year.
