The bakery manufacturer Pek-Snack, active in six countries, closed the year 2024 with a record performance. Revenue rose by 5% to HUF 12.7 billion (EUR 31.75 million). Profit after tax more than doubled from HUF 214 million (EUR 535,000) the previous year to HUF 589 million (EUR 1.4 million). 38% of the revenue was generated in foreign markets.
The Pek-Snack Group is the largest Hungarian-owned producer of frozen fine bakery goods, operating a network of nearly 1,400 bake-off shops in Hungary, with 350 employees and a strong partner presence in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and Slovakia. Founded in 1998 as a family business, the company was acquired in 2015 by Hungarian financial investor Oriens, which focuses on investments in Central Europe. The products are manufactured at the plant in Igal, where several million frozen baked goods are produced annually on a 6,000 square meters facility.
