Danubius Hotels plans to invest HUF 13 billion (approx. EUR 32 million) from its own resources this year.
Over the past five years, HUF 35 billion (EUR 86.2 million) has already been spent on hotel modernizations. The hotel group owns and operates spa, wellness, and city hotels in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, and the United Kingdom. In Hungary, it operates a total of 16 hotels, including spa and wellness hotels under the Ensana brand.
The renovation of the Danubius Hotel Helia on the Pest side of the Danube was completed in April. Renovation of the rooms at the Danubius Hotel Annabella in Balatonfüred began in 2024, with two full floors being refurbished. For the 2025 season, the hotel will offer a total of 265 premium rooms and 6 premium suites across four floors. Danubius Hotel Bük, one of the group’s most popular family hotels, received a new lobby, bar, and reception area. A new wellness area with a fully renovated sauna section had already been created there in recent years. At Danubius Hotel Hungaria in Budapest – the largest hotel in Hungary – two conference rooms were modernized in 2024, and room renovations have begun.
The hotel chain employs more than 2,000 people and generated total revenues of over HUF 60 billion (EUR 147.7 million) in 2023, up from HUF 48 billion (EUR 118.2 million) in 2022.
