A state-of-the-art teaching and research center for water technology is being established at the University of Pannonia in Nagykanizsa. In addition to conducting water technology research, the center will serve as a competence hub for analytical measurements in this field.
The ambitious project is supported by the “Széchenyi Plan Plus” program. Of the total funding amounting to HUF 4 billion (EUR 9.8 million), HUF 1.3 billion (EUR 3.2 million) is allocated specifically for this development. A key aspect of the project is the integration of the new center into the Soós Ernő Research and Development Center, which operates as part of the university’s Circular Economy Center, and will be expanded with practical, modern educational programs and research projects.
