With an investment volume of approximately HUF 3 billion (EUR 7.5 million), MVM Zöld Generáció Zrt. is constructing a 20 MWh energy storage system next to its wind farm in Sopronkövesd.
A grant of HUF 1.35 billion (EUR 3.3 million) from the EU Recovery Fund is being provided for the investment as part of the EU-funded program for the installation of grid energy storage systems.
At the site to be built, 22-kV underground cables and a new 22-kV switching station will be installed. The grid connection will be established at the existing 132/22-kV substation, which currently supplies the wind farm.
