The shares of Gránit Bank Nyrt., listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT), will be included in the BUX Index starting April 1, just a few months after the bank’s successful IPO on December 23, 2024. As a result, the BUX benchmark index will expand to 16 constituents.
In terms of nominal value of capital increases through public share offerings, this was the largest issuance in Hungary in the last 25 years.
Since 2016, Gránit Bank has been the only financial institution in the region to raise fresh capital through a public share offering. During the subscription period, valid bids were received for more than three times the minimum required amount.
