Coca-Cola is investing over HUF 250 million (approx. EUR 610,000) in Hungary over the next three years to establish 15 staff- and cashier-free stores.
The goal is to triple revenue from this business segment by the end of 2026. The concept and technology were developed by Kende Retail Kft., a specialist in automated retail solutions. AI ensures the proper operation of cameras and sensors within the sales area and collects data on shopping habits, product consumption, and customer dwell time.
Coca-Cola HBC Magyarország, headquartered in Dunaharaszti, operates two bottling plants, employs 1,000 people, and provides jobs for nearly 13,000 individuals in total. The company has invested over HUF 135 billion (EUR 330 million) in Hungary and exports its products to 15 countries. Nearly two-thirds of the raw materials used for soft drink production come from domestic suppliers.
