Alstom – Logistics hall for bogie manufacturing

The French company Alstom is investing HUF 600 million (approximately EUR 1.5 million) in the construction of a new logistics hall at its Mátranovák site. This is the final project of the “Mátranovák 2030” development program, with a total investment volume of HUF 6 billion (EUR 15 million).

Upon completion, the Mátranovák site will supply one-third of the Alstom Group’s total bogie production. The new 827 square meters logistics hall is necessary due to a 40% increase in production volume and the resulting higher storage capacity requirements for raw materials, components, and finished products.

As part of the development plan launched in 2022, the company has already carried out a comprehensive modernization of its machinery.

The bogies manufactured in Mátranovák by the Hungarian subsidiary Alstom Hungary Kft. are used in Alstom rail vehicles across Europe. As the largest employer in Nógrád County, the company currently employs 720 highly skilled workers.
